 Hi,

It's a very interesting project , we are looking for.

In normal solution for RFID project ,

It's one Device (PC) call API control one RFID reader (1:1) under serial port.

sometimes, one RFID use a switch to control multiple antennas.

but U need 1 PC in 1 reader physical  point, so 10 points need 10 PCs control 10 readers.

I think U need a wireless device control multiple readers.

   some concept share U,

Firstly,  The serial port limit the Distance, so need replace serial with

   ethernet(TCP/IP) mode in  reader.

Than, U can connect the reader anywhere  under network (include wireless).

Secondly,  One Device(PC) control multiple Readers, it's anther issue.

thus, we develop API and Middle-ware App support multiple reader operation.

finally, the control Device (PC) is too expensive,

we develop an wireless(wifi) embedded device (ARM/MIPS CPU) replace the PC.

So, U can use some wireless devices support very large amount readers situation at low cost.

and,  use Network Management system monitor
your devices and readers reliable is another ideal.

   FYI

Best Regards,

George
