Hello Everyone!
I'm looking for a reader/writer for my Hitag S 2048 (my book comes in tomorrow, actually, so if there's one referenced there, forgive me for asking!). I need something with a USB interface, and software that'll allow me to properly configure the Hitag S 2048 for EM4102 compatibility (I have other projects using EM4102 that I want my Hitag to work with for now...). I'd also like to be able to use my Hitag for PC login, so the USB interface should support behaving as a USB HID device as well (something I assume most of them do, but just thought I'd throw it out there). The one I have found that I am interested in is the idTRONICS "Stick Reader EVO" which supports read/write of Hitag 1/2, Hitag S, EM4102, and EM4550. If anyone has these, or knows where I can by them in the US, that'd be awesome! Edited by Timneedscoffee1 - 02 July 2009 at 7:47am |

Just a follow up - I spent a good portion of my day digging, but came across the reader I'm buying... it's a USB Stick Reader by idTRONICS, and does everything I want to use it for. It's also not so expensive -- so I may pick up a couple and use them in my embedded projects, rather than switching my tags over to "unique" mode.
Just incase anyone stumbles across this post, and is also interested in the idTRONIC EVO stick reader -- I wound up getting them through idTRONIC's US Distributor, http://www.brightcard.net. There's no info on their website about this specific product, but I gave them a call and had no issues placing the order. Each reader was about $100.
