If you want to save time, buy one of these reader setups off ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/RFID-Reader-transponder-key-fob-security _W0QQitemZ230258135940QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item230258135940&a mp;_trkparms=72%3A552%7C39%3A1%7C65%3A12&_trksid=p3286.c 0.m14 The reader is a great one... it works much like the ML042 with a master tag and slave tags. It comes with a sealed cylindrical antenna that works really well with the glass tags. I think you'll still have to tune it in once you've connected it to the ML042. The antenna on one of these readers is only about an inch and a half long... maybe two inches. You can use 38AWG or 40AWG... either will work, you just have to tune it in to match your wire gauge, impedance, etc. Usually wire this small with a lacquer coating for housing is called "magnet wire" or "winding wire". I can buy small spools of it at my local Radio Shack (electronics parts store). |

It is done. The 13mm RFID Implant is inside my hand hehe... It wasn't apinfull with some local. Anyways You said cylindrical right?? Im going to buy some relays and try with their coil... it is cylindrical right ;) il try reducing the winding until i get a good signal...
Thanks for now. PS. I posted in the implant section. Does the rfid tag sound the alarm of shops ?? and does it detect metal when going abroad?
Thanks |

Nope, no shop alarms (they use EAS bit tags). Not enough permeable metal in the tags to set off metal detectors either. Sorry, no exciting trips to the security office trying to explain your implant.
PS, you'd be better off attempting your own coil windings... you need your antenna to resonate at 125kHz, which any old coil will not do. Edited by amal - 12 June 2008 at 12:09am |

Hmmph well I'll try with a coil, if all fails, at least I can use the winding because finding 40awg from a shop is not easy.
Thanks for now mate. |
