I installed one of those black boxes from ebay in my saturn today. Seemed perfect since the door skins are plastic, so i could completely hide the antenna. Ended up being pretty easy with minimal modification to the car. Read range for a glass tag is pretty weak, i think once i get my implant done i'll have to put my hand right up against the door panel to get it to read, but i can handle that i think. All else fails i can move the antenna or glue it to the door panel or whatever. if anyone is really interested, i will take the door apart at a later date to show how i did it all, i forgot to this time, sorry. Here's a video of the finished product.

Nice work! Interesting that the panels are plastic. My VW has metal doors so I had to put the antenna up on the inside of the windshield.

Yea, i saw a guy that did it on a Dodge Caravan, and had them mounted just inside the windows on the driver's door and back hatch. Saturns always were marketed with those "dent resistant side panels". They don't dent because there's no metal on the car lol.
